A great weekend

This past weekend we spent about 40 hours with leaders from all over the Buckeye Region at Deer Creek State Resort and Park. I was able to teach my first seminar at Deer Creek without fainting, passing out, or saying anything that would get me fired. So all in all I would call the seminar a success.

Here are some highlights from the weekend-
Zach showing he is the premier rock thrower and football catcher in our area hands down. For about 20 minutes our guys entertained themselves by throwing rocks at a sign (don't worry girls I know it doesn't make sense) and Zach outshined them all by nailing the sign multiple times. He was also like a human crash test dummy giving up his body to catch pass after pass in football.

Our time of prayer on Saturday night. I never feel more connected to leadership than when we spend time together before the throne.
Our late night chats in our cabin. I know I wussed out and went to bed at 2 am on Saturday night when the rest stayed up to 3 but it was still pretty awesome.

Our first weekend with our new committee chairman Brandon Little. Not only did his church provide 90% of our food but he was also a dish washing machine. He's a true servant!

A great weekend was had by all and oh yes we did play football on the Deer Poop field.

I do wonder though where is the Creek? There's a HUGE lake but no creek?

i wondered about the creek thing too. would have been much more appropriate to call it "deer woods" or "deer lake"
